The AP’s Erik Schelzig reports that a federal appeals court has upheld a lower court decision against former Sen. Rosalind Kurita, who had sought reinstatement to the ballot after being ousted by a Democratic Party committee following her narrow victory in the 2008 primary.
Sen. Tim Barnes, who replaced Kurita on the general election ballot, does not have a primary opponent this cycle. He will face Republican Mark Green in the November general election in District 22.
