Opponent response likely
From the Tellico Turnip:
Senate District 10 candidate Andraé McGary has recorded and released an unaccompanied rap video aimed at reaching younger voters.
Reactions by 10th District residents to the video were varied.
“It’s catchy, but I don’t really know what it says,” said Bryce Tilman, 54, of Huntington Estates. “I tried slowing it down to 33 1/3 (rpm), but that made it sound like backward masking.”
Dequeshia Jones, 18, said that while the style was appealing, the overall effort fell short of its target. “He like old,” she offered through a mouthful of Hot Fries.
When asked whether voters her age would be convinced by the video to choose McGary over his rival, Todd Gardenhire, Jones acknowledged that some may. “They might see it and be like, ‘snap!’”
Most of those interviewed admitted not being certain “what a ‘state senate’ is, actually.”
Sources say Gardenhire has been honing his flow for a video response, but that the project has incurred a delay in order to call in Dan Johnson to lay down some dope beats.

@TnTicket I don’t want to live in a world where the Tellico Turnip does not exist.
