Groups seeking Alexander defeat set Chattanooga forum date

Chattanooga has a date with the traveling recruitment effort aimed at finding a Tea Party-approved candidate to challenge U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander in next year’s Republican primary election.

Andy Sher writes that the Chattanooga Tea Party, together with the Beat Lamar PAC, will hold a candidate forum on September 14. That date falls two weeks after the first such session, which is scheduled in Nashville on August 31.
