You know, what's scary is that he is actually right on campaign financing.

Who knows where his head is, but there's something endearing about him, even if he does think the Freedmen's Bureau was never disbanded.

What a sleazebag. This Fleischmann fella is trying to steamroll the other candidates, just like he steamrolls churches, schools, and gun clubs as an ambulance chasing trial lawyer. See the video for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SLDd1rkdZ8

Richard Ford is not a career politician, which is a good thing in my book. A direct quote from his Facebook Profile reads as follows:
"I am for the working man. If elected, I will represent ALL areas of Hamilton County instead of the chosen few. I want to enact the property tax freeze for elderly people on a fixed income that was voted on by the people in 2006, but still hasn't been implemented. I also wish to work on improving the county's recycling system, making it easier for *everyone* to recycle. Another thing is that I want to work with communities about the gang problem. I wish to hold open discussions where everyone is welcome to discuss issues and concerns. I am against a metro government unless it is voted in by the residents of the ENTIRE county. I want to help preserve the history of Hamilton County by protecting cemeteries and such, instead of allowing them to be destroyed by the highest bidder. I'm running as an Independent because I am just that. No amount of money can buy me, and if elected I will donate AT LEAST half of my salary back to charities. If you want someone who will make a difference in Hamilton County, Vote for me on August 5, 2010!"

David Cantrell has a life-long interest in government and, over the years, he’s made it a point to attend local government often in order to stay in on top of the issues.

David also respects public education. He’s champions the programs at Normal Park and the new International Baccalaureate program at Signal Mountain Middle/High School and will do what he can to help them and every other school in District 2

As a captain in the Navy and mission commander, flying P-3’s in the Pacific in anti-submarine warfare and as a senior airline captain, David understands what it means to be responsible, disciplined and accountable. Furthermore, he has proven leadership ability and recognizes the need to plan ahead.

I urge everyone who cares about the future of Hamilton County to vote to for David Cantrell. He has the qualities and the experience to lead us into the future without sacrificing our quality of life.

Good job guys. And meanwhile why you girls argued about signs in your window, the Republicans knocked on doors and called and talked to their motivated voters. But hey, I guess you have it all figured out don't you?

Heh. Thanks for that.

Beyond Wikipedia however, more information about the Laffer curve can also be found on this minidocumentary from Dan Mitchell.
