Chattanooga (2013)

Chattanooga elects its city council and mayor every four years on the first Tuesday in March, four months after the U.S. presidential election. A move by City Councilwoman Deborah Scott to change the election cycle to coincide with the national and state elections was voted down earlier this year.

Scott is not running for re-election after serving one term. Another council member, Sally Robinson, has also decided to step down in order to concentrate on her real estate business.

Mayor Ron Littlefield is term-limited.

Here now are your candidates for the March 2013 election. Click a district number for the council candidates, or scroll down the page to see the mayoral candidates.

  1. Linda D. Erwin says:

I worked with Priscilla Simmons at the City of Chattanooga, and I have never known a more self-centered, selfish, egotistical, blatantly obnoxious person. She is all about getting her way, and if you couldn’t help her in achieving her goals, or you weren’t in a position of authority, she treated you as if you were a second-class citizen. She will not serve the people in the second district, of which I am one. I will be sorely disappointed if she is elected, for she is not the kind of person you would want to represent us.
